Does anyone use any protective gear for shooting in rainy weather. I am going to gemany in March and I dont want to be stuck w/o use of my 10d.
I am thinking somesort of plastic bag for the camera with a nice glass filter to shoot through.

Hi,
I don't know what they told you, but Germany isn't THAT bad in March ...

I have used my 10D in heavy snow and would keep it covered except for when you need it. Plastic bags, however good, encourage condensation which is worse than a bit of a soaking.

My fiance's grandmother lives in Stuttgart, about 1km south of the Porche factory. I have been there twice before, once in June and once in Sept. I have learned to be ready for ANY weather.
In addition to the 2 weeks in Stuttgart - With short trips to Hidelberg and Ladenberg, we will be having one week in Salzberg and from there a day trip to the Krimml Waterfall.
Any other ideas for photos/tourism would be VERY appreciated.

Hi Scott,
cool looking part that is :-)
Reminds me of that sniper's camouflage hoods...
... do they also come in white? Like a 'special forces winter edition'?
Regards,
Andy
PS: Maybe a lens hood might also help to keep some snow off the lens

Why not try Strasbourg (France), should be no more than 2 hours from Stuttgart. Strasbourg is a really nice city. I lived there for 5 years during my studies.
And if you want to push a little bit north, try Luxembourg (4 hours) (my favorite... ok... i live there, but anyway...)
Stuttgart is nice too, btw
