Greetings,

I take many digital photos with my 10D, and edit them with Photoshop CS on my G4 Powerbook.

When I order prints from Ophoto, Mpix, Adorama, or even the local Wal-Mart, the color looks very different.

Is there a device that will:

1. Calibrate my screen.

2. allow me to somehow scan in a "test" print and create a profile for a specific online print service? (Or even my home HP printer?)

I know there are lots of devices for color calibration, but which would meet my needs?

Thanks for any advice!

Rob

I had a similar problem and it was my color monitor. I had increased its brightness to play some games so it did not match what my HP printer printed. SO I adjusted my monitor to the print and everything was ok after that. Following prints then matched the monitor..

Good luck

I think your monitor can produce alot more colors than a typical printer. Therefore, your pictures will look different. I have the same problem with my photo's.

Read this tutorial from Luminous Landscape. I think it will help clear things up a bit for you....

So if I calibrate my monitor, then I can just use the ICC profiles for my labs, and the pics will show correct color?
