Hello Everyone and thanks to Pekka for the forum Im looking forward to participating on a regular basis.

Ok, I have the Pro90 and am using it with my Norman 2000 studio lighting system. I have the Wein safe synch reccomended by Canon to reduce the voltage used to synch and also to convert the Hot shoe to a synch cord attachment. Here is my problem, if I connect the camera to the studio flash and then take a picture everything is fine. If I also connect the camera to the computer to trigger the camera, the system is in someway electrically confused and constantly triggers the strobe system. When I use a laptop which is on battery power everything is fine, if I plug the laptop into the wall, the system again tries to trigger the flash repeatedly until unplugged.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Rick

Well, it seems to be a ground loop... (I suppose your lighting system is also connected to the ground). To solve this problem, the only thing you can do is connecting to the ground either the camera, or the lighting system, but not both of them, as you mentionned it... I don't see any other way.

Shabok,

Thanks for the reply I am going to try working on this tonight and see if I can fix it. Ill let you know. The thing I find strange is the same setup using a Kodak DC265 has no problems.

Thanks
