showing images here

I have always loaded my photo onto a website then right clicked and opened up properties, highlighted the url and then pasted that in the show image icon above this box. Recently images have not been showing properly - is there a better way to link? :(

Just testing from your pbase gallery

Copied the URL at the top added .jpg to it then stuck it between a "" brackets thus
"[img] URL.jpg"- you don't need the "" when posting.

Test from Richmond Gallery no need to add the .jpg so "URL"

The images I posted are Racketman's- I just linked to pics in his galleries to see if they would work using the method I normally use to link from Flickr :D

i've noticed quite a lot of peoples shots not showing up recently.......... most of the time tho a refresh does the trick...

I thought Brian's method is the same as Racketman's, as Racketman's method utilizes an established icon, but essentially doing the same thing. I think the problem is with Pbase, as I've also experienced the same problem (i.e., image doesn't show up). I don't know how to fix it, but the interim solution is to right click on the red x (if the image doesn't show up) and click on "show picture". If this doesn't work, I would simple copy the URL and paste it on the address bar and open the pic from there, then click the "back botton" of the brower, the image will then show up properly. Just a thought. )

probably right although these two are still showing! Tried to open an account at Flickr where LordV resides but impossible to navigate past signing in Yahoo account (the two are connected); obviously closed to second league photographers!
