My friend had a baby boy in July. I got an S3 IS when I visited the states so we were talking and agreed I should take some photos of him this weekend. I'm just looking for ideas or suggestions for shooting babies that will hopefully inspire me to start thinking of ideas.

Forgot to mention, I'm a totally newbie to photography so be nice. :)

Take photos of the baby sleeping, being held by both parents together and separately, also get a hand, a foot. Try to get the parents with the baby candidly, those are much better than the posed ones (IMO). Oh yea, have fun and experiment you can always delete the bad photos.

Wait until he grows up. Much easier then.
