Rebel XT Remote Question

Hi...

When using a wireless remote with a Rebel XT there is a facotry set two second delay between hitting the button on the remote and when the shutter opens. Just curious if there is a way to adjust the time delay.

What is the model number of your remote?
Canon makes two. One has the option of no delay, the other doesn't.

Pretty sure its the RC-5. Is there an option in the camera itself to change the time delay?

The RC-1 remote has a switch to select immediate shutter release.
No option on for this on the camera, but unless you're doing self-portraits, you're better of with a corded remote anyway. And these things are quite cheap on E-Bay.
