A lot of photography is just happening to have the camera at the right time. Out little kitty, Maus, stepped into the PERFECT light, and looked at me and just waited for me to get the camera. I like how it turned out, but there was one thing that gave me trouble. I am not going to say what it was just yet, because for me, that flaw is all that I can see, and I don’t want to poison your viewing. All in all, how does it look?

By the way, for whatever reason, it looks much darker in this posting.

AAhhhh..............very nice.
This cat has attitude, and you captured it quite well.
The lighting is VG.
In my opinion, a photo with "ooomph"!!!
Thanks for sharing :D

Well it is a lovely shot. I love stunning light.
IMHO all this is missing is a bit of the cat's back (now buried in the black light) and a few shades of white (now buried in the pure white).
I had the same prob with my dog in a similar situation

What you are seeing is the essence of Ansel Adams ZONE SYSTEM. There is just to much contrast between the highlights and shadows to be picked up.
You think the cat went into the perfect light, but in reality, it had to go into more muted light for this picture to work.
