I have heard it is easy to take pictures through a spotting scope with a digital camera? Are there adaptors available?
Thanks ahead of time.

Not that anyone cares but Leica make an adapter to connect the Digilux to there scopes. I tried my camera on one and didn't like the fact that with a non-SLR you have to use the LCD display to see the image & focus.
I prefer using the viewfinder. I don't know what Canon offers.

It depends on the camera and the scope as to the ease of attachment.
What kind of camera and scope do you have?

I used to use a Leica spotting scopr with a Nikon 990. It is a cumbersome and expensive setup. $1500 for the scope plus a sturdy tripod. For more information do a web search on "digiscoping". For the same amount of money you could buy a 100-400 telephoto and get better pictures.

Check out the Orion line of scopes at www.telescope.com . I have the StarMax 102. It's not too bad of a scope for $350 or so, and makes an excellent terrestrial spotting scope.
Check out adapters at www.scopetronics.com . A standard T-mount adapter for an EOS camera can be used directly on the StarMax.
