i know this might sound crazy. i have lots of good ideas for a photography business. i figured i start via internet then when i get out of the military open an actual shop in my home town( next closest shop is about 45-60 min away). i have a really good concept of how to get the business up and running(good friend has online audio business). any way i can't think of a name. i really need some suggestions. the only think i can come up with in " photography solutions inc." but my friend tells me that is kinda long, i agree. so what do you guys think. thanks in advance.

Details...More more more details.

Last name?, photographic intrests?, etc.

What are some of your good ideas?

You'll only get questions as of now, with more information, you'll get some answers.

well my last name is Murtaugh. basicaly i mostly do sports, and studio. as of right now i would like to run it online and then have my own shop one day. i was a photography major in college so i knwo my old professor would let me do some advertising, and supply them with good deals. i understand i will have to sell in high volume to make a profit. i am looking to start out on the small side and work my way to to carrying cameras from film, digital, and medium format. i plan on starting through my own web site and ebay. someone suggested to try to also go through amazon, or bizrate. i have been in contact with some of the larger companies to find out what i need to do to carry there product and waiting to hear from others. it is looking possible to get this show off the ground, just going to take some time and money. so i am just looking for some ideas i might be missing.

I see that I have misread your initial post, which is about running a photography equipment business.

That case, I'm not much help to you. But I will tell you this, usually a company like Canon will want to see a real storefront before becoming a dealer. Something you'd need to speak with them about.
