Buying Lens Overseas?

Does anyone have any knowledge in regards to pricing, avaliability of buying lens overseas? My parents are going to bangkok/india for a months time and was asking if I wanted anything. Just wondering if its cheaper to buy lens in any of those places? TIA!

Its hit or miss. Usually Hong Kong is cheeper, but most other countries are more expensive. I don't think I've ever heard or seen anyone buy from India before.

I've had a hard time finding better than B&H on most lens and body searches.

Camera and lens items are duty free from the states to Canada, you'll pick up the taxes on importing but save big bucks on the pricing. Also, pick overnight express shipping UPS or Fedex, they include brokerage.

Warrantee is easier to handle.
