Hello,
Did up this thread:
Looking to pick up a digital camera, sub $100. How should I begin research? (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=225359&highlight=icarianThought)
here a little while ago, didn't act on anything, decided to up to around the $200 mark. Everything else still applies:
I'm looking to pick up (preferably new, don't want to deal with possible hassle of defective used) a digital camera for a family member, looking to spend sub $100, not sure where to go for research I don't want to just grab whatever's on the self of some tech shop when I don't know what I'm buying.
Not a photography enthusiast, so she doesn't need anything fancy, nor wants it. Fairly basic and easy to use, looking for a good camera to snap shots of friends and events, whatever that would mean, not even sure what to look for or how to evaluate different options.
Looking for one with a large LCD preview screen, one of the thinner rectangle designs, I know $200 is still kind of cheap for this, but I outlined why I'd rather not go up to $300 in the original thread and that hasn't changed.
~Any appropriate help would be appreciated, thanks much. And again for all the help in the original posting.
~Went with the SD600, thanks!
