Hello,
I m new photographer....just got my 30D and 50mm f/1.4 couple weeks ago. And now I need a walkaround lens.....I am considering EF 16-35 f/2.8 and EF 24-105 f/4.
I will buy both of them at the end. But for now, I can only afford one. So any suggestion which one I should buy first???
Thanks

In my opinion, you have a good walk around lens now. In the old film days, in my poverty, I got along for years with just that lens.
If you must add on now, I'd probably get the 17-40L It would be a better fit.

I would think the 24-105 would make a better all-purpose walk-around lens. It really depends on what you like to shoot though.

Hmmm....
Cause I m still new in this hobby, I am still not sure which type of photography I like more. So, can you like give me idea which type of photography 16-35 and 24-105 good for? So that I can have an idea which type of photography I like more....
Thanks a lot for the help.....:D

The 24-105mm is a great general purpose walk around lens, I use it on an almost daily basis at work and for some landscape work. You will be very happy with the zoom range and the IS.

agree... very nice focal lengths there and would be a good starter while you decide what else you would like your kit to consist of..
