Have just got an IXUS II and am using the canon TWAIN driver. It seems that I can download the images ok nut when I turn the camera off again (with the PC still booted after Ive downloaded the images) it causes the PC to hang. 'MSGSVR32 is not responding' and this is causing the hang. Does anybody else have this problem on a system runing Win98 SE ??

Cheers,

Neil.

Visit http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;169987 for more info on this problem.

The only workaround solutions other than that is to leave the camera plugged (turned off) until you turn your computer off or use an External Card Reader.

Hey I have the EXACT same problem. I too have IXUS II and using win98 se, I always have to ctrl-alt-del everytime after downloading pics to my PC and I usually reboot my computer before using other applications. Found for solution for this so far.

i did raise a technical querry with Canon but they did exactly what I expected, said its an OS prob, raise it with MS. Waste of time that is......XP here I come.
