This couple called me the Sunday before last and asked if I could shoot their wedding that Wed. (which was last Wed) at 3pm. We had been getting flood warnings in the area for the amount of rain we were having, so I was a little worried that they wouldn't be able to get the pics they wanted in the Chinese Gardens, which is outside, but it was really important to them. It actually stopped raining that day and was really beautiful until after the ceremony (in the courthouse). It got really dark and started pouring as soon as we got to the gardens, so we had to go inside. Luckily I had my tripod and 50mm, and was able to get some cute ones inside. It slowed down a bit, but was still really dark. I had to shoot ISO 1200, 50mm 1.4 w/flash for the most part. Oh yeah, it was just them two and her sister and brother-in-law. I got over 100 of just the B&G. They loved the pics, but there was still some shots I would have liked to have gotten. Considering the weather, I'm pretty happy w/the results. Anyway, sorry for the long intro.

1. I think it's my favorite even though the background isn't great.

2. We went to the park right across the street from the courthouse first. The other 2 people are her sis and BIL.

3. Calling his relatives in the UK. "We did it!"

4. Sorry, out of order. This was on the stairs in the courthouse.

7. Out of a window, very rainy and limited mobility because of window panes on either side.

8. Out of order, sorry.

I like 5 and 1 the best. They are nice. I know the couple will be happy. It must be nice to be able to spend this much time with the bride and groom like this, and not have to worry about Grandparents parents aunts uncles... all that..

Looks nice,,, is there a gallery somewhere with all of them?

Thanks, Lindsi. It was nice to have so much time w/just them. Normally, couples get tired of taking pics after about 15mins because they'd rather be w/friends & family, but they never did! The rest are on my site, but I'd rather not link to it, sorry. Thanks for your interest, though! :)

Very nice work Jess. I think the colors look a bit flat but I am sure it is the web/screen. The BW conversion is robust...looks good. Have you played with duo-tone? I find in most instances that I can achieve more depth to the image.

Thanks for the feedback, Scott. I'll try the duo-tone. :)
