Work has really been keeping me away from the camera this month. Here's a few from the last HS (texas) football game that I was able to shoot (almost 3 weeks ago).

No flash. Poor lighting. EOS1DsMKii; 300mm f2.8L IS @ f2.8 and 1/500ish. ISO 3200. Noise Ninja.

My daughter (16) shoots a 20D and my 70-200 f2.8L IS and because her dad couldn't figure out how to set her ISO to H (3200) she was stuck with ISO 1600

Rice Consolidated HS vs Ganado HS.

This one is my favorite of the series

Very nice, a little noisy, but these games have very little light. Good job.

Thanks,

The field is very poorly lit. It's a good challenge though.

I underexposed around 2/3 of a stop and that really pushed the noise up. NN Pro did a good job but as I'm sure you know, removing noise isn't kind to any image. In the future I probably won't adjust the EC more than 1/3 of a stop... if that.

Nice shots. I don't remember which function it is right now, but you have to turn ISO expansion on in the custom functions on a 20D.
