ok.. I use to use my 300D and my 75-300 f4 lens to take pics of fast moving motorcycles and did really well, well, I did ok...

Tomorrow is my first day with my new 20D and my new 70-200 f2.8 lens...

I want motion blur and limited DOF but the bike crisp..

What mode and beginning settings should I start with and fine tune from there, they will be hand held panning shots.

thanks guys...

It will also be sun/shade

I know there is no hard and fast rule, just looking for a starting point...

Thanks guys..

I'd shoot wide open at the same kind of settings you used before. Use the hood.

Hope this is of some use even if the scale of the bikes we both shoot is a little different...:D
