Hi
I have more or less mastered printing from Photoshop Elements on my printer, but I would like to know what is the best way to save pictures, after adjusting them, to up-load back to my CF card in the camera so I can have them printed by my local digital lab?.
If I want 6x4, do I save them this size?, if so at what resulation?, etc, etc.
Many thanks,
Tony.

Hi Tony,
When I put pics back on the card, I use the best resolution I have them in - mostly I shoot 1600 X 1200 (unless it's something special) and I put them back at this... the three mini-labs that I use have no problem with this size and although a little cropping is necessary to get 6 X 4, this is pretty close...
I have noticed occassional pixellation from down & uploading more than once - inherent with Jpeg I guess... my favourite lab charges no more for prints from CD than from CF card, so I give them CD's - 36 prints at a time (they like convenient 'film' quantities!!) for less than 20c each - and that keeps the quality up - and I give them tif's rather than jpeg's... unfortunately the other two labs see printing a flash card as one thing, and printing from CD as another, and charge (a lot) more for the CD...
Interestingly, of the two that prefer printing from memory cards, one lab is happy to pick and choose from the CF card, the other will only print 'the whole card' - not like they get any extra to print that way as most people will only print shots they want - go figure...
Cheers,
Stuart
