The 24-70 f/2.8 is a great lens.

I found a used 28-70mm f/2.8 and I am very pleased! Admittedly the 24mm would be nice.. but give that the used lens was less than half the price it was a worthy compromise.

They are certainly great lenses.

I'm jealous...

My local camera store has one 24-70/2.8L sitting in the display case.

I can't believe no one has bought it yet. Maybe it's because I discretely printed my name on the box the last time I got a chance to look at it. :)

When the urge finally just about kills me, I'll go to this dealer and discover that MY 24-70L is still there. I'll pay the extra $50 he charges instead of ordering the lens online from B&H.

I love my 2 other L lenses (17-40, 70-200), but this will definitely become my favorite.
