256MB Simpletech Compactflash Card
just thought i would tell you all that Amazon has Simpletech 256MB Compactflash for $109.99 - $30 rebate = $79.99 shipped free, no tax in most states. Rebate valid until 3/31. Performance is above average and works with all compactflash compatable devices.

Yea, but most of the vendors on Pricewatch.com have horrible ratings and charge over 20 dollars for shipping. Trust me, stick to well known stores like Amazon.

Ialready bought my 256 for less than $100 and it's a 12x. Good for my D60's 7.5mp raws.

Take a look at places like www.powerinnumbers.com.au and www.mittoni.com.au - they both supply cards worldwide - Mittoni do a 256mb 24X card for about $60 US... both compete with each other, and have various specials...
Cheers,

What about the 256 cards on ebay? I see Transcend 256 going for just around $40.00 US...and maybe $10.00 shipping. Are these cards not the real thing? I got a Transcend fast ( 30x) 256 card for $65.00 at www.mydigitaldiscount.com .

Costco.com recently had 256 Sandisk CF for $60, but it is not listed on their site now. However, earlier this week I was in a Costco that still had lots of them for $58.

Newegg always ranks top 10 in resellerratings.com plus I've ordered a lot of computer parts from them. Very reliable online vendor.

Same CF card, $45 + $5 shipping = $50

Interesting - was in the same Costco yesterday and they still have lots of 256M Sandisk CF and the price has dropped to $55.99. When I got mine there a couple of months ago it was $58.99.

compusa lists a simpletech 256mb card for 44.99.

I'm about to go on a trip and want another 256mb compact flash card for my Powershot S45. I'll be in England and Amsterdam for 12 days and don't want to run out of space.
Which cards do you suggest? I have the standard Sandisk 256 mb card. It works fine for me, but I don't know any better.
Should I buy an Ultra card? Is that much better than the standard card?
I want to spend between 50 and 80 dollars. Which card should I get and where should I purchase it? Who's got the best deal?
Thanks!

Look at Klarzilla’s Ebay auctions :
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&include=0&userid=klarzilla&sort=3&rows=25&since=-1&rd=1
This guy sells 25x 128 and 256Mb CF at very reasonable price and ships internationally for the fix amount of $6.95 .
During the last 6 months I’ve purchased a dozen of cards from him and I received it to my home, in Italy, only a week after I sent the payment.
The only con is that you need a PayPal account. If you haven’t you must spend $10 fee to send a Money Order.

mkill2001 is likely so enthusiastic because for every sale that comes off that link, he gets at least 5% of the sale back in Amazon gift certificates. If you take a close look at his link that he's provided
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000630TO/mikesdigitaca-20
The last part mikesdigitaca-20 is his Amazon Associates seller ID. It's not really that bad of a deal but as others have mentioned, there are others that may be better.

I just got a SimpleTech 256mb card from http://www.dartek.com/ for 44.95 plus shipping totaled at $52. Unfortunately dartec doesnt give me any dollars for that reference :(
