I have over 3000 PM's.... Mods can accumulate up to 5000. However.......not all of them are nice and many are requests so popularity doesn't count in my neck of the woods.

Probably because people only PM mods when there's a problem...just think if you had nice letters to weed through...you'd never have time to actually post anything!

well I was wondering if I can use parts from vacuum cleaner model abc on the new one I have just brought. I haven't read the manual anywhere and the sales man didn't anything.

Yea I am being smart ass. It's what I am good at. :p

btw, WHERE IS everyone tonight? I figured I'd have pages to go through when I got home...

I had serious connection issues...dunno if it was the flood of PM's or if there was some other evil afoot. Either way...I got bored waited for things to send...so I went to dinner and to look at Christmas lights. Probably should have taken my camera.

Woolburr
8th of December 2006 (Fri), 22:16
that's when are you to ring your mum as ask her how things are done. :) if that's not possible find some cleaning forum as ask there. You can see how the topic starts out.

I know this is a dumb question but how does the vacuum cleaner work?

What's the best vacuum cleaner I should buy?

Sari, don't worry about bosses, most of them are idiots (imo) otherwise they would know that you are the best person for the job and would stop saying dumb comments.

Actually Mark...if you were to scroll back a page or three in the thread...you would see a rather interesting discussion on vacuum cleaners.

I want to go for a walk and look at Christmas lights. That sounds nice. We put ours up tomorrow...and tomorrow night I'll photo them and show you all...and my tree too. Wish I could have gotten it up today but we were SO busy shopping (which I hate) that it's best to tackle a decorating project when one is fresh and non-grumpy.

My aunt just got back from a vacation over there. She said it was beautiful and exotic (to judge from her pictures, it's truly lovely). The biggest surprise to her was an abundance of holes in the ground around habited areas..... She didn't know why...until she saw one "being used". She said, it brings you right back to being thankful for SOME things about western civ.

I watch, but not as often as you. I'm still waiting for you to decide where our trip will be. Last I heard, it was Greece. :)
I watch more of the Science Channel. I LOVE the physics shows- I'm such a groupie

I did the dinner thing and drive around too. Know where I want to take the camera on walkaround tomrrow night. Ikeep thinking of places to head, then I remember I'm not in Stillwater any more. :(

No prime rib for me- ended up at a new Mexican place. Great food and prices but not as quiet as the ones we usually go to. Lots of folks from the university instead of people from the immediate community. I love three hour dinners, though if the food, the beverage and the talk are all good.

maybe. could be easier to get to and less expensive.. and the ruins are fascinating.. (I was an Anthro major for about a year).. but, currently there's a haunted castle special on right now... and that looks interesting too.... Actually, that's a misnomer. Archeologists thought that the Mayans predicted the end of the world in 2012, but in actuality 2012 was when the warranty on the stone clocks ended, and they needed to replace the batteries. All in all, the Mayan clock is pretty good.

INTERNATIONAL air travellers to and from Australia will face new restrictions on liquids in hand luggage from March next year.
The move follows the arrest in the United Kingdom of terrorism suspects plotting to blow up airliners using liquid explosives smuggled aboard in hand luggage.

f....

I used to love to fly - that was so last century. Now all the romance has gone out of air travel. I would be so happy if I had an entire country to roam without going through a single airport checkpoint, sadly I don't and as a result my work takes me far from home often, only to run into things like these.

And this thread goes comatose once again. We are having an interesting discussion on glass in another thread - and it puts everything into perspective.

People accuse us of spending too much on the L glass, but you should see other camera systems - now that is overboard.

Nobody seems to tell the Leica collectors that they have gone postal... their *BASELINE* 50mm f/2.0 is a staggering $995. And their cheapest 50/1.4 would buy me a 5D AND midrange lens.

That is my impression too.. people looking to 'relive' the great journalist experience or whatever they attach to it.

I'll pay for quality, but for that price it has to be phenomenally better than anything else. As it is, I don't go for Canon's very highest end because I would neither carry nor use it often enough to justify its price tag.

It's interesting to note that all my glass comes in under the $1200 mark: while the high end continues to rocket up to $7200 and there are 14 more lenses in that category.

what closes in yellowstone in November?.. there will be snow there by then.. if the snow here is any indication... but the snow makes things pretty...

That's what I was thinking. I've never actually lived through snow, where I am it gets cold but not enough to result in snow.

Ah yes, Autumn in Yellowstone. There's nothing so majestic as a bloated American male imperially marching about on the grounds of a huge National Park.

LMAO. at least you are consistent!

In mid-November, Old Faithful Geyser becomes Old Faithful Barely Spews. It's kind of embarrassing, really.

They have several trails they shut down. Don't know why. I'll look it up again.

You go getting too well behaved and sensible and we will have to leave your tushie somewhere! LOL

Permie- you had fondue forks at your party and you were not nice! just ask wool!!

Yep...you were a bit wild with your pokings! Fondue forks should be registered as semi-lethal weapons.

You name it, and I'll gladly imperially march all over it. I'm just that kind of American. Can't help it.

Well, I couldn't find the page I was on but this shows things they close...no official dates for 07 but if you click on Sept/Oct/Nov you'll see what closes sometime that month.

Perhaps a few hours a week of marching on the new elliptical will alter that bloated profile to the point where the marching is at least less conspicuous.

Geez, what kind of place is this?

"I was hiking up Maim Hill, just by Imminent Death Curve, when my buddy, 'One Armed Toothless' Jack was telling me about something up in the Cave of Plagues near Satan's Armpit Canyon"....

Doesn't sound very family friendly....

Oh.. I'm laughing out loud at that.. Dead man's pass is this little road that leads to the leslie gulch reservoir.. nice place but it was a little muddy and my little car couldn't handle it...

True. But somehow, the phrase, "There's nothing so majestic as a really fit and buff American male imperially marching about on the grounds of a huge National Park" doesn't work for me....

Sari,
you could put together a coffee table book with your adventures and the photos-- the self sacrifice you go through for your art!

I had quite a laugh at Puddle's little opening as well. how great was that?

November is kind of late in the season at Jellystone....Ranger Smith says that it is better for you to visit in September or October to get the real feel for the place. There is a chill in the air..many of the woodland critters are feeling frisky and doing what comes natural...making them more visible than they are at other times of the year.

You do have a point there...don't have that whole Teddy Roosevelt thing going on!
