METZ 45CL-4

CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE.

I have just purchased a new Canon 400D ( Great Camera ! ) and have in my kit a Metz 45cl-4 Flash gun
When I purchased it second hand I was informed that the supplied SCA3102 m2 & SCA3000c m1 adaptors would function with the Eos 350 & by rights should work on the 400D ayt least that what I had hoped.
Can anyone advise is this is the case before I ruin my ne camera. I have to say the ttl feature never seemed to work on the 350D.

I have emailed Metz but do not seem to have had a responce.

From the Metz website: You need the SCA-3045 cable.
And AFAIK the flash needs to be the 45CL4 Digital. The old one won't do ETTL.
