ACDSee's website isn't very information as to what support it has for CRW files. I've downloaded the demo version at work, and it looks like it will display CRW files, but I can't tell if it will actually let you convert a CRW file into a TIFF. Unfortunately, I don't have my camera's software here or I would test it out myself!

Yes, you can convert CRW to TIFF with ACDSee 4. MY favorite thing is that you can convert CRW straight into about 12 file formats, very very convenient if you just want to make JPEGS without first converting to TIFF (of course, always hold onto your digital CRW negatives)!
I use ACDSee 4 and I love it.

Nevermind. It looks like it CAN convert a CRW to a TIFF, but it looks like it converts everything "AS SHOT", and doesn't let you change any of the settings. Dang it!

true, no fiddling with settings is possible. I load up the cannon software when i need to do that.

ACDSee converts CRW to TIFF, JPG, BMP, etc. directly..... but you loose the image info (EXIF) !

you don't lose the EXIF, it just doesn't transport to the new file. You still have it with your original CRW. I use ACDsee because the batch process is so easy to use and I can dump straight to JPEG for easier (and faster) viewing, I still hold onto my original CRW to do real photo editing.
