In every picture of a cardinal, its face is always soo SERIOUS! In the first picture it looks like it's actually growling at you. Great shots though

when i see them look at you when you're trying to shoot i try not to laugh...its so funny looking:D

but these guys are a pain in the ass to get near!

So the Cardinals were giving you a hard time, yet you have managed to pull off some good shots of both the female and male, well done.
