indeed - when ordering a take away coffee from a certain American chain of coffee shops, I too use the term 'to go'. At other times it sounds a bit too silly.

if you turn it backwards Tom it'll make some kind of sense

Dave likes things backwards..I mean not quite straight forward
like 'have a good day'
anyway whoever started that must have been selling something

imagine everyone having a good day all together
someone would be sure to get killed

I thought that McDonalds has been there in O'Connell Street a long time Dave
its the Anne Summer's shop which causes the surge along there (I think) :p..

its right opposite the G.P.O. too

our biggest landmark since the 1916 rising:eek:

hope something of anything (from your Da's time) is left there for you to be surrounded by or to reminisce in.
you must be very proud to even trip it off your tongue as being 'where from'
its a beautiful special place

:)

justa by line ......
was headed there Sunday but the train was not running directly due to rail works being carried out
instead a van was placed outside an stáisiún * to take any passengers
and so join up at a far distance *station (Athlone) to continue the journey to Galway

Aye, it's grand to have yer roots in so special a place, but I never been der. I meant to many times, but somewhere exotic always took first place. I been ta Dublin of course and had a poor excuse for the Guinness in the actual brewery. There are plenty of Conroy clan over der, as you know. We are common as the muck, let alone the potata's that live in it.

So ya never made it on that train to Connemara then?
