I've seen this critter befor -- but not surrounded by such color!
Here -- in the outdoors -- its white (snow) .. blue (sky) .. green (fir trees) .. and brown (tree trunks).
The creators saved all this color for plastic and birds!

Gail,
You really haven't taken a good picture of your parrot yet. They are consistently out of focus and oversaturated. It seems to be a pretty bird but you haven't represented it very well.
I have had difficult time with parrots. I think that the software on the camera has a hard time focusing on the bird because there are few points of heavy contrast.
You might want to focus on something that is an equal distance from the camera and lock the focus. You can then turn the camera towards the bird. Also, use aperture priority 8.0 and a tripod if the shutter speed is too slow. Parrots move around alot so that can be difficult too. Try shining a bright light on the bird or take it outside to get some sunlight which will counteract the aperture setting. Sunlight will look great on that bird.
Difficult stuff, but out of 100 pictures of parrots, I got about 5 that I like.

Hi ijohnson,
Yes, I no I have tried to get a good shot of him but so far not so good.
But I'm not giving up LOL. One day I will get that right shot in there.
And to this summer I will be taking him out and maybe then I can get a good photo of him. But I would love to see some of your photos of your parrot. Post them when you get time.
