touchup

The other day I passed my S45 to my wife and she grabbed it with here finger on the lens. How should I go about removing the print that covers the entire lens.
Also, I want to start putting those LCD covers on. Right now I have lots of prints on it. How do I remove them safely and without scratching the LCD??
Any tips or help would be appreciated.

I use a lens cloth as obvious as that sounds.

First, blow any dust/debris off the lens as best you can. Don't use tissue paper or other wood-pulp based wipes, and never wipe the lens dry, always wet the lens first with a lens cleaner solution.

Yes, blow off any dirt so you don't end up rubbing it in to the coating.
I would not recommend using lens cleaning liquid that leaves a residue.
Personally, I use a generic methal hydrate. It's cheap, dries ultra fast, and is good for other uses around the home (since it leaves virtually no residue) like removing some glues. It's what is used by many camera shops when repairing cameras and lenses.

i know a much safer and cheaper way! wet the Lens by breathing against it and then wipe the lens carefully with (i don't know the englisch word so i'll try to explain it) a soft leather cloth like you use when you clean a window. if you know what i mean. works perfect and there's no better way to clean it without scratches or residu. i have cleaned hundreds of lenses and lcd screens this way.
