What's the best software that allows you to resize all the pictures at once and you can put a trade mark or caption one all the images you like in one step instead of one by one..(over 100+pix I'll be tired to death haha) and you can also publish to the web... help pls

Breezebrowser Pro is my choice for this. They have a function called proofs and in it you can resize, compress, sharpen, do levels, etc. You can do two levels of watermarking. They can either be text and/or a graphic that you design yourself. It does not matter if you have a portrait or landscape image it looks at the longest side.

For the 80.00 or so that this thing costs it is well worth it. It has allot of other uses besides this proofing function. It is one of the fastest file viewers that I have had the opportunity to use.

Here is a screen capture of the options that are available in it.

Do you also wish to rotate, delete, tag with ITPC keywords, and copyright?

While not a fully public product, I use Action Image, but I'm a tad biased. I wrote it :)

It was designed for in the field event photography to download, sort, rotate, watermark, rename, copyright, delete, and publish galleries onsite and viewable with ordering stations, then back at the office after the event, with a few clicks and everything is online ready to purchase.

It was also designed to allow a little more customization to each image. it brings up 4 images at a time, you set your changes/corrections/deletions, then it processes those in the background, and brings up the next 4. Goes through 100 images in about 4-5 minutes. I've run through 200 images in 7 minutes before.

There is also a compete batch mode that brings up 1 photo, you make your settings and then go similar to the breezebrowser pro setup except it shows your changes on the one image before processing them all.

good luck,
brian

I use faststone photo resizer.
It's totally free and works fine.

You can get it at www.faststone.org.

They've also got a very nice Image Viewer, it's free as well.

Cheers,
Tom

I process with CS2, and make my wedding web galleries using www.eostemplate.com and www.jalbum.net. If you don't want online ordering use JAlbum, just feed it JPGs, ir resizes, does text watermarks, and makes web pages.

I use IMatch to do this. It has a contact sheet builder that is very customisable that can do your watermarks. The web gallery creator in IMatch can also resize and watermark and is also customisable. The are a huge selection of presets for web creation and with a little bit of knowledge these can be changed to suit personal tastes. I currently just use the web gallery creation to just resize & watermark images I want to post here. I did once use all of it but swapped to a PhP based system when I got my own domain name.

This has the advantage of doing all of this right from your DAM software and doesn't care what format file you feed it ie jpg, psd etc etc. Support ITPC EXIF etc also.

Am surprised that no-one has mentioned Photomechanic (www.camerabits.com (http://www.camerabits.com)) as yet - its an awesome piece of software. It is similar to Breezebrowser, however I personally found it a bit quicker in day to day running.

Its great for captioning, resizing etc - although one of the most powerful features for the sports stuff that I do is the code replacement function for adding IPTC info.....you set up a text file with a team list and a corresponding unique code for each player for example, and instead of putting in a players full name, you pop in a code and Photomechanic automatically looks up to the text file and replaces the code with the full info. This is useful if you cover a number of teams on a regular basis and greatly speeds up the workflow/captioning process.

If you use Photoshelter then one of the killer applications on Photomechanic is that you can directly upload to Photoshelter.

If you want something similar, then photodesk which you can download for free from kodak is good too - offering some of the features of Breezebrowser and Photomechanic, albeit running a little more slowly.

Hope this helps!
