Received yesterday from Canon....
Greetings,
We are happy to announce the availability of a firmware update* for the EOS 10D Digital SLR Camera.
The firmware will update the EOS 10D to v2.0.1 and provides the following:
1. Correction of the LCD monitor display in firmware version 2.0.0
In the [INFO] screen where you can confirm the details of the camera's settings, the Color Temperature option was not displayed in firmware version 2.0.0. This update corrects that.
In the case of an upgrade from firmware version 1.0.x to 2.0.0, the C.Fn (Custom Function) settings and the file numbers of images were cleared from the camera. They are not cleared in this version 2.0.1 firmware update.
The update is available from:
http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/customer/firmware.html
Thank You,
Canon USA, Inc.
*Firmware updates are coded instructions that can be written into the program memory chips of the camera itself. These updates are normally limited in scope, and improve or correct how the camera performs certain functions. They do not change the specifications of the camera, and cannot modify the hardware (lens, CCD chips, sensors or switches). A firmware update cannot make an older model camera equivalent to the model that "just came out".
