The graffiti on the sign caught my eye. I suspect there's a related statement there. Barren wilderness vs urban graffiti, the spread of graffiti spread from inner urban areas to the wilderness, something like this.

I have an eye for urban decay (ie abandonments, etc). Being out in the middle of nowhere in such a beautiful area of the world and seeing signs of people being there before you really makes you realize that no matter where you go, theres always been someone whos been there before you. Sad really :)

I'm sure there are plenty of spots in those hills in the background where man has yet to set foot.
