P&S for teen

A friends sister is looking at getting a P&S camera to take pics for like myspace and stuff and is limmited to around $300-$400. I have a canon PS s500 and I hate it. So what is everyones fav P&S camera...thanks guys and gals

SD700IS. might be found for your price range. 6MP, 4x 35-135mm FOV. most of the accessories for sd500 fit the 700IS, so if you hate the camera so much, there's more to give ;)

doesn't do manual modes, but that shouldn't be a problem... found it to be a good alternative when an SLR just doesn't give you enough DOF indoors (f2.8 + 10mm lens= huge DOF, though you will most likely need a longer shutter to avoid iso 800 [400 is bad enough, but still useable for 4x6 prints])

edit: dell has it for 297 bucks. add a 512mb or 1gb card+holster and it's still in the right range
