rattling noise when pressing shutter

hi, i've got the powershot s400. when i press the shutter half way, it makes a rattling noise when focusing. i'm just wondering is it normal, otherwise i'm getting an exchange asap.

They do make a noise when focusing. I can somewhat duplicate the noise my wife's A70 makes by holding my tongue against the roof of my mouth and blowing air by it. It's 7-9 quiet "clicks" followed by the beep.

If that sounds like your rattling noise...it's normal.

I can produce the noise everytime I'm focussing with my s30, I guess nothing to worried about.
