This is one of the target drones that will get destroyed eventually. They are painted in gloss paint because they are part of the Heritage flight program. They were not gloss in Vietnam.

There are still many left. The German, and Japan forces still both fly the Phantoms.

If you look around the web for the "boneyard" you'll see thousands of these in storage. So i guess blowing one or two won't put too big of dent.

Nice shot and I love the clouds!
