Congrats!

BTW, I guess you know that your saga into the DSLR adventureland has just begun, right?

That's an impressive list. Actually, I've owned many of those same cameras myself.

However, nothing will prepare you for the fun you're about to have with your 10D. Not even the G5 comes close to giving you the control you will now enjoy over your photography with the DSLR.

Congratulations. :) :) :)

Are you planning on selling your G5? My wife would love to have a camera like that to take to her school. There's no way she would ever take my 10D and risk one of her curious grade 3 students getting their hands on it.
PM me if you are interested in selling.

BTW... You are going to love that 10D. When I finally bought mine, it was so nice to use a SLR type camera again.

Sell my G5, no, for one very good reason. I work for an engineering investigatory firm and the G series cameras offer something the SLR's don't. I often have to get photos in tight hard to reach areas, such as the interior of crushed cars. I can place my G5 on a monopole and twist the LCD screen so that I can see it when the camera is inserted into to hard to reach areas. Then use the remote to obtain a picture.

Thanks for all the replies. I took several photos with the 10D this weekend and can now see what all the excitement is about.
