Anyone using HP printers for printing photos

I am very new to this and I have searched quite a ways back and it seems most are using Canon or Epson printers. I have a HP photosmart and I am wondering if I am the only one using HP. If so why aren't others? What am I missing? Is there a problem I don't know about with HP? Thanks for any answers.

You're not the only one, I'm using a photosmart 1000 and it's still going strong. As much as I would like to get the Epson 2200 I can't justify the cost yet. (still buyinng L lenses) :D
But on the other hand I can get 8x10 prints for $2.00-$5.00 and thats a lot cheaper than $699.00 for a printer & then ink to go with it. So

I'm also using an HP Photosmart P1000. I just started using HP paper to get the best results. I'm looking at that Epson 2200. And it's looking kinda expensive.
