Took this today at a family shoot....I told the older sister to whisper something in her sisters ear....Both girls are beautiful

Here's no whispering....

No suggestions from me but I love #1. It's a classic. Great expression.

I'm sure some of our resident experts will have some ideas on fixing #2

First shot is fantastic, each family member may want a copy of that one.

For me, personally, I don't like the fact that she is looking at the camera in #1... I would have enjoyed it much more if it was truly "candid"...

But that said, I think the Exposure, lighting, and conversion are very nice. Good job

Did you use flash?

Can I ask you why in the 2nd image you used +0.3 exposure compensation?

A reflector on the 2nd shot would have lightened the shadows, but then would it have looked as natural?
When taking shots like this, particularly grab shots when out and about, its not always possible to have that technically perfect shot with fill in etc, I think this shot is good anyway, and has captured two lovely happy kids.

I'm not sure that I knew it was .3 conversion...how do I tell that? Thanks all..I love the pp on the second one.

Love the 1st but echoing an earlier poster no eye contact by the older girl would have sealed it

Funny I didn't even think of her making eye contact with the camera. It appears as she is telling a secret and is looking at person she is talking about maybe. I thought the picture spoke volumes.

Nice work
