there are actually 2 new lenses:

Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 L IS USM (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0401/04012901canon28300is.asp) - a new big white L
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0401/04012902canon70300do.asp) - a very small and light telezoom with Diffractive Optics

and ofcourse the new Canon EOS 1D Mark II (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0401/04012904canoneos1dmkii.asp), the new version of the 1D, > 8 Mpixels and even faster than the old 1D.

The Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM is reckoned to be priced
at 1299 dollars and euros..one must assume it will be pitched at
1299 GBP?

If only they would adopt similar pricing for the Australian dollar! :roll:
