$340 for a G7.. ..
I got this at century 21.com
Since this deal is so cheap, somehow, I smell something fishy about it... What do you guys think? They have a very good review though...All 733 reviews gave good feedback..
Anybody has experience with them...
Any recommended store you guys have?

not the exact same name, but this scam businesses change names frequently.
I use B&H for all my online purchases.

They ARE going to ring you up and tell you have to buy the battery and charger for a massively inflated price .
If you look at whats included in the package - those two are missing .
Something like this :D :- http://www.century21electronics.com/prodetails.asp?prodid=217400

Hey, don't forget the charger:

I wonder if they might have a package deal with the battery and charger for say $700? What a bargain! ;-)
It this shocks you, you haven't done your research -- there are a lot of these places on the internet and when you find a camera for a ridiculously low price, that's what you get. They prey on people like you who are uninformed. Good thing you asked here first.

No, Circuit City will charge you MSRP. Order from B&H or Adorama. They are the most reputable places on the internet for cameras. Adorama shows it right now for $530 and B&H for $575. Not sure why the difference -- they are usually within a few dollars of each other.
Yes the price will drop. If you keep waiting based on that, you'll never buy anything.

Adorama, B&H, NewEgg...these are all reputable.
I ordered the G7 from Broadway Photo and it was a scam. They tried to tell me I had to buy the standard battery, and charger seerate for about $60-70 each. Stay away from these crooks!

I've bought from Buydig.com before without any problems. Their resselerrating is pretty good.
As Todd said though, B&H, and Adorama, are both top notch outfits. Not always the abosolute cheapest price, but customer service at B&H for example is outstanding. They stand by the products/stand by the sale. For a big ticket purchase, my first choice is always B&H. Even if it costs me a little more.

I'll weigh in here, and say "go with the G7." It is more expensive, but there are parts of the S3 that, in my opinion, just don't work.
Specifically, the 12X zoom is pretty much unusable in a handheld situation beyond about 5 or 6X. And one of the reasons you buy a compact camera is because you aren't going to/don't want to carry around a lot of additional equipment. There is a reason they are called "point and shoot" cameras, after all.
One thing I do like about the S3 is the shape. With the wide hand grip, it is easier to hold steady than some cameras, but the heft of the G7 makes it pretty good for a form without a grip.
I just brought my new G7 home, and won't have an opportunity to use it for a few days. Have to go to a funeral tomorrow, not the best place to be taking photos. When I have a chance, I will try to post some comparison shots between the S3 and the G7.
