I have an extra 20Gig HD and I'm looking for a portable storage/card reader for it.
I know there are portable models for 2.5" (laptop) drives, but I can't seem to find one for a full size drive.
I want is a unit like the Tripper or the Image Tank but for a 3.5" drive.
Suggestions?

I don't think it exists my freind.. :(
There are plenty of portable hard drive cases,.. some nice ones can be found here;

I like this one;

...but f you want an X-drive type dealio... then I think you need to go with a 2.5" notebook drive.
Part of the issue is power
3.5" desktop drives suck up a LOT more juice than a notebook drive does,. thus that big old case would be even bigger equiped with a Sears Die-Hard heavy Duty battery! :shock:

:oops: DOH! I should have thought about the power requirements.
I'll probably just get a regular enclosure and use it as a portable HD and get a Tripper when I get my tax return.
Thanks for the help CDS.
