Had the opportunity to spend the day over as Jasper Pulaski in Indiana as the sandill cranes migrated through. Great day for shooting...

Thanks for the nice comments...the lens was the 400L f5.6 with a 20D.

It was quite a sight and noisy!

Beautiful series of this bird. Great light and colors. I have seen some in our area ( 1 week ago) that still have not migrated. Counted 52 of them but you cant get within 100 yards of them.

These are excellent shot of the sandhill crane, especially the in-flight shots.
The third shot is quite a spectacle though to see so many. Well done.
