I think I prefer the slightly warmer tone of #1, but then #2 looks good too!

The first one is best. You lost a lot of detail in the very white/very black areas with the second.

first one has more details of bricks and leaves. i love this place. i like second too.

hmmm - I thought I had commented on this. Must have only been in my mind.
I prefer the second one specifically because of the detail lost in the blacks. The scene is overwhelmingly full of detail and that little bit less allows me to focus more on what I am actually seeing. But I do love the tone in the first. :)

First one for me, some of the bricks look a little blown out on # 2.

My thoughts exactly exept I couldn't find the right words to explain it. ;)
I tried to make the light and shade the principal elements in the second one.
