Can't answer exactly, but wife has a 256 MG SanDisk card in her A70 and it works well...except it is difficult to remove. And my Kensington 256 card is no easier to remove from her camera. 32 MG cards FLY OUT of the A70. No explination why.
Do we hear 526?

I dont see why a 526 Mbyte CF card shouldnt fit. I have a 256 Mb CF(Sandisk), and it fit just like the 16 Mb CF card. Ejection is also the same. No problems also.
Probably will by a 526 card next year or so.

The fit won't be the problem, the real question is the camera's ability to use a 526 card. I've heard of camera's not being able to use the new 1 Gb cards, but I don't know about the A70.

My 526 Sandisk works great. If you want, 1 GIG or larger cards are available at larger costs. I don't know what the limit is (for the cards or the camera if it's different.)

thanks for the responce. i think i'll just stay with the 256. i already have 1 and i'll get a couple more for shooting in high res and i also have a 16mg for emergencies. i'm so use to film that digital is another learning experience for me.

The theoretical size limit of CF cards that will work in a PowerShot A70 camera is 2048 GB. Of course, I've never seen one larger than a 4 GB, and I don't think I'd want one that expensive, for fear I'd lose it.

That would be one monster card! Gee, should I use SuperFine or Fine? Seeing as how memory is soooo tight!:)
By the time they produce that size card, I wonder how many A70s will still be in service... :?
I do hope that the cost of the chips will be consumer level when they attain that level of memory! Would hate to question "house or memory card..." when looking at getting a bigger card...

I didn't even know there were cards at 526...the logical size would be 512...but I might be wrong.
