These were taken on Partridge Island, Saint John, NB, Canada.
The island has a long history including serving as a quarantine station for immigrants and playing a vital role in the defence of Saint John harbour during the first and second world wars.
Today, besides a few monuments the only thing remaining are the WWII era gun emplacements, bunkers, etc.
The only way onto the Island is a dangerous trip across a very long breakwater and recently people have been arrested trying to make the trip.

In recent years vandels have burned the last remaining wooden structures leaving only the foundations:
