months before the event, talks between the organizers and myself came up with an agreement, along with my application, for event photographer, as this is a small event from a large organization, It was a volunteer position. I would have unlimited access.
Unfortunately, that all changed when i arrived, it was not annouced who I was to the rest of the volunteers, and moving around was simply not possible, no one would let me.
I was stuck in the spectator area the whole day, behind caution tape and barracades.. :(

Travis Pastrana was there, Driving Kenny Bartram's Blue Impreza, Kenny drove his Beetle
Pastrana didn't have a co-driver when he arrived, and oddly enough, one of my buddy's who was at the driver's meeting just for the heck of it was chosen to be his co-driver, he had never been in a rally prepped vehicle before, lucky!
