Once again the fiance and I went out to see if we could capture a few better engagement shots. All these were taken with the timer on a tripod. Focus was very difficult but I did the best I could. We had tons of fun shooting these and it was always funny to see people's reactions while driving by and we were posing and noone was standing by the camera to take the picture C&C always appreciated. Thanks!

I can't see the 3rd photo but the first two are wonderful! Shooting your own engagement photos? Tricky but you did a great job!

Yeah, we took our own engagement pictures. Not a big deal in my book. Don't worry though, I will not be taking my own wedding pictures :)

Very good shots, especially the first and third.

I like the second, it like you two are just having fun together, but it seems like you are squinting in the sun a bit........?

Congrats, and I'm glad to see i'm not the only one taking my own engagment photos!

OK Not too bad. But for this pose you build from the ground up. First have her point her front foot directly at the camera the standard fashion 'T", then when you join you put your back foot past both of hers and your front foot is pointed at the camera. This opens the hips and keeps both of at a 45 degree to each other.

Next front hands. The hand pose is OK but could improve. You could do one of several things, for this you make a cup with your hand, turn it thumb level like you are hold a soda can. Then her bent fingers grab your top two fingers and palm. This shows the ring really well. Arms around the waist are OK but no hands sticking out of sides.

With jeans less formal is Ok but lets pretend we have something somewhat more formal.

Now with the shoulder in this place they should be level at first with your slightly foward towards the camera and hers slightly away. Turn both heads so the eyes are equi-distant to the camera and then tilted slightly toward each other. That completes the silver circle that starts at your waist moves up boths sides of your arms and completes the oval at your heads.

Now with you stationary, she can do a 3/4 turn to her left toward teh main light. leaning back against your left side your head can be placed for a small kiss on the right side of her neck. looking up and slightly tilting your head you both look off camera right in the same direction. Moving in for 3/4 shots, have her turn back around to face you rest her head on your chest with her hand cupped on your right pec, show the ring. A little warm fill flash or reflector camera left and you are set.

Watch your backgrounds for OOf UFO's and viola engagements shots.

Any more and I have to charge a consulation fee of 1,000,000 pesos.

BTW I once did one of these where the happy couple were up a tree, they have 3 kids now. Many blessings on you both and remember to always put her first, you'll never lose.
