What message ?

Just format a CF card copy the firmware on it, put it in the camera and it should load it by itself....

Just follow the instructions on the website, it's really much simpeler than for other camera's...

Greetings,
Frank

Bill, I found that once I inserted the CF card with the update, closed the CF door and powered the camera up, I then had to open and shut the CF door before it started the transfer. It then finished without a hitch.
Hope this helps..........Bruce

any experiences yet??

I used a CF card freshly formatted in the camera and then took the card out of the camera and copied only the necessary .FIR file to the CF card using a CF card reader. Then put the CF card into the camera and turn it on. The camera should recognize the update and ask if you want to update your firmware. I've done all three updates that way with no problems.
Good luck,
Scott

guys,
I finally got the update to work, using the right method with the card in the camera. However, the first 2 times it got to 72% done and then stopped. The camera had frozen as far as trying to use it. Finally the third time...it worked and updated properly. Bill :D

Bill, Glad to hear it worked out in the end. :D
I suspect the manner the upgrade uses to work depends on which firmware was in the camera to begin with. Mine started with version 1.0.1.
