Here's a picture I took years back with my old Panasonic digital camera 1.3 mp. And I wanted to see what a difference in the pic.
So I did a touchup in Photoshop using curves, and cleaned up the noise in neat image and I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm just doing the trial thing now with neat image but I will be getting the software. It is amazing what a difference, see what you all think.

Here's the before and after the after, I did the curves in PS and filtered in neat image.

Gail,

I have been reading a lot of your posts in Critique Corner. You are usually letting people see something like your dog or your parrot and not really asking for criticism.

I reccomend posting the shots that you think are great, and I mean your best shots, the ones you are really proud of in Critique corner. This would allow the professionals here to let you know what is wrong with what you think is the best. If you post shots that you know are bad, the critics aren't even going to respond and the people who don't know anything at all are just going to patronize you.

In summary, post your interesting, bad, or so-so pictures in the "share photos" section and post your incredible ones here so that we can all tear them down and help you learn. It really is the best way to learn. No one with any heart is going to start making a laundry list of all the things wrong with a picture that you think is already a bad picture.

I hope that you take that the right way.

Good start on fixing the image. The colour correction looks great. The texture in the foot is really pronounced.

Unfortunately the curves tool was over used! Sadly, we've lost some detail in the diaper, and in the shadow between the feet.

Revert to the file version prior to curves and try the curves again and try to keep as much texture detail as you can. Curves is a difficult tool but it is invaluable.
