Very nice! I would clone out the letters on the right though.

Very nice.
I think I like the letters; they add a balance to the background. If you don't want them, just crop them out. Cloning them out would throw the balance of the photo off.

Grat -- but the letters like others say seem to be distracting. Beautiful mgirl and I wonder if the color would be just as nive.

Great expression. Very 'clean' picture :)
The great debate of the letters: I think they are a great addition to the photo, but yes, they are distracting! Too bad they weren't yellow or pink like the one just barely visable! You might be able to: Blur the back ground more, raise the tonal value of the dark letters, or even reshoot the back ground with the brighter letters.

The letters on the tub are sooo real life keep it,because this is a family member portrait.
If it was a promotional /professional shoot then I could see eliminating the sticky tub toy letters.
Seems to me that the letters give it "real life capture" rather than something staged.
Just my humble opinion.
Cheers,

PS:it's my first post and I have no photographic qualifations to be a critic just my big mouth and opinion :-)

Thanks all for your insight. I tried cloning out the letters and it does keep you focused on the subject but reduced the depth of the piece. But indeed it is too bold. Stopbath is right I think...if they were less pronounced it might work.
Sorry I didn't post the redo, I don't have my site up yet and have a difficulty finding server space otherwise.
