Normally I go straight for the dark parts of an image, but I find myself uniquely intrigued by the sphere in this one. Spellbound almost. Can you tell me more about the image?

I think the b/w verson posted here works better than the selective colored original (spherical distortion). Not sure if this would work without the kite and ribbon?

The "sphere" made from the sky, now looks like the sun... w/ solar flares coming off it.
and the kite anchors the effect...
Maybe the title should be changed to "Kite Around The Stars"
I like it.
What tool did you use in PS to make the shpere?

In Photoshop go to filters/distort/spherize 100% normal mode. You can make a second pass with the same filter to exaggerate the effect.

Thanks.. I thought it might be under the Distort Filters, but wasn't sure...
