When using a Canon 2x converter on my 70-200 2.8L and the lense is open to f2.8, the camera sees f5.6 because of the converter.
Is the DOF still the same as @ f2.8?
I know that minimum focusing distance does not change with the converter on the lense.
Has anyone checked this?

Physical properties of the lens+extender combo are 140-400/5.6 and thus DOF is accordingly.

Three things - and only these three things - affect DoF.
These are:
Focal length of lens
Aperture set on lens
Subject distance
Therefore Jens is correct.
