Do anyone know of a camera strap that could carry the camera's weight on your shoulder instead of the neck.

I believe lowepro make a camera harness, not sure if thats its main purpose though.
The Optech one is much much better than the OEM Canon one.

It makes a 1 series with an L lens and flash feel lighter than a rebel with a kit lens on the neck.

I carry my heavy set-up, 20D with grip, 24-70L with hood and 580EX attached with the POTN strap across my chess, strap on right shoulder. It is very comfortable. The 5D with this lens and flash is also hefty, but not as bad.

I've tried all sorts of straps and the best I've found to date is the UPstrap. It doesn't look like much but it's superb in use and really doesn't slip off your shoulder at all. I've tried the op/tech (same as the POTN one I think) and although it was very comfortable I was forever hitching it back onto my shoulder. So although I'm genuinely all in favour of supporting the POTN site, my honest opinion is that the UPstrap is the best one out there.
If you want to have a look the link is http://www.upstrap-pro.com/
cheers

The best strap you can get is the one they sell right here on POTN....right here...yes, that's right. :D

The Optek gets my vote....10 hour shoots and no neck pains.

I've searched a bit and couldn't find a picture of how this POTN strap works. Does it goes over your shoulders or wrap around the chest?

Ha! You guys should have tried an F1n, AE Prism hed, 5fps drive with high power ni-cad pack, and FD 300 f4! Add on a driven A1 with FD 200 f2.8 or FD 135 f2, just for balance, and your carrying some serious weight there.

The POTN strap is a regular neck strap, but it's very wide and thick to be comfortable. There are little "dots" on the side that goes against your neck in case you sweat, which I have and it keeps me cool. I use it like a neckstrap and as a shoulder strap. I carry it cross and not cross. I wear it in the rain, I wear it with a hat, I wear it while eating a hot dog or strolling through the park. . . . You get the point. It's something you can wear all day. :)

works just like a normal strap, but it has give to it, so the moreweight the more it gives. Its also a lot more padded, has the little bumps to prevent slipping, and is partly detcheable.

The P.T.O.N. strap looks to be a good one. However, I use three Lowepro neoprene straps on my cameras and after a long day of shooting you won't feel the weight of your camera. Just make sure you get a neoprene strap as it will absorb the weight of your rig.

Another vote for the Upstrap. It has never slipped and is very comfy.

F-1n and original F-1 AE head was the Servo EE Finder, and that was a big sonofagun. New F-1 had an FN-AE finder option.

Nice set up Cory, ok I'm stalking now, lol. Is that a hand strap also? I have the POTN strap and emailed to see when the hand strap was coming, he said not enough interest yet. I wait!
